Paragliding Over the San Jacinto Valley

Come Soar in the San Jacinto Valley

It’s free to park and watch paragliders, speed wing and hang glider pilots launch from the mountain side in the San Jacinto Valley, soar high above and literally land at your feet. The best time to view paragliding is 3 hours before sunset.

San Jacinto Valley Paragliding

Bring your friends, food & drink and talk to the pilots who will be glad to answer questions and show you up close their wing and gear. There is shade, picnic tables and a restroom. Dogs must be on a leash. It is one thing to see adventurous people on television, but being next to them makes it real.

You will leave thinking “maybe I could do that,”

and if you do, we can teach you to fly paragliders or speed wings. You will benefit from our kiting and training hills, then move up to our regular launch points as your skills improve under the supervision of certified instructors. Daily forecasts by other pilots will help you plan your day. Instructors will also help you choose and maintain your equipment.

Soboba Soaring

Soboba is one of the most consistent soaring sites in Southern California

and can be flown year-round. It is famous for its late afternoon smooth soaring conditions along a 4 mile ridge, with some exploration flight paths over the San Jacinto Valley. Your transformation into a pilot is a life-changing moment and you will refer to other events (be careful what you tell your spouse) as before or after you learned to fly the simplest way a human can. You will be joining the many who have found a way to respectfully enjoy our mountain, while collecting visual memories of the spectacular San Jacinto Valley that others can only imagine.
